The boys’ discography ranges from horrorcore glitch-trap–working with heavy bass, to gloomy atmospherics and drugged-out rhymes. $B are currently signed underground rap-based record label, G*59 Records, who have also signed Ramirez and Germ. However, many different names and personas are used in place of their real names-for example, “Ruby Da Cherry,” “$uicide Christ,” and many more-each having individual meanings. Hailing from New Orleans, $UICIDEBOY$ are a rap duo of two cousins: Scott Arceneaux Jr. Due to misinformation spread online by music leaking groups, the record was originally thought to be named The New Normal-this was, however, debunked with the official announcement. The album cover, tracklist, and release date were revealed in late June via the duo’s social media accounts. The album’s rollout consisted of the two singles “NEW PROFILE PIC” and “Avalon,” respectively released in April and May of 2021.
